Imagine if you could speak to the stars...
Well, now you can!
Dark Forest
Project Dark Forest exists to promote science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education by training the next generation to build uplink ground stations capable of transmitting messages of peace to spacecraft, and to develop and deploy spacecraft to stable orbits that are capable of receiving and sending curated audio and video from Earth based ground stations, and to collect and aggregate outer space environment data.

Science
Study celestial objects and phenomena beyond Earth’s atmosphere, analyzing their origin, evolution, and physical properties.

Technology
Understand how launch vehicles, spacecraft, and space stations are developed, built and deployed to help humanity understand space, and life here on earth.

Engineering
Explore how the design, development, and operation of systems and technologies impact space exploration, satellite communications, and space-based research.

Math
Calculate trajectories for spacecraft, determining distances between celestial bodies, and understanding planetary orbits.
Meet our Leadership Team

Chris Brown
Founder
Chris is a space lawyer, futurist, and the founder of Project Dark Forest. He has always been fascinated by physical cosmology, astrobiology, and the philosophical underpinnings that drive what we understand (and don’t) about both.

Nathan Nandkishorelal
Project Management
Nathan has over 15 years of experience supporting commercial and government customers, and over 6 supporting the US Special Operations Command, focused on process improvements for IT services and contract management activities.

John D. Boswell
Creative Consultant
John, also known professionally as Melodysheep, is a filmmaker, composer, VFX artist, and editor. His work spans from television and music production to viral remixes and mashups, and has drawn over a quarter billion views online.

Mark Kanawati
Mark is a pioneer and 30-year veteran in the small sat industry and most recently started LinaSpace LLC to build earth imaging telescopes and a satellite constellation, among other advanced communications payloads and systems.
